PRIME NUMBERS: Learn how to identify a Prime Number

         PRIME NUMBERS                          EXPLAINED

Prime Numbers are those numbers that can only be divided by themselves and 1.

Example: Tick only the prime numbers

3,4,5,6,11,29,71,50,99

Let's start with 3:

Think of a number that can divide 3 without a remainder. The only 2 numbers are: 3 and 1. Therefore, 3 is a prime number.

Next is 4: 1,2 and 4 (itself) are the numbers that can divide 4 without a remainder. Therefore, 4 is not a prime number.

3✓,5✓,11✓,29✓ and 71✓ are Prime Numbers.

Try this:

Use {✓} for Prime Numbers and {x} for numbers that are not Prime Numbers.

1) 49,33,43,39

2) 13,69,19,91

3) 39,83,31,61

4) 27,37,47,57
